Erin loves to visit small businesses in Chesterton like Red Cup Cafe. She wants to help small business flourish. Revitalizing the downtown area to ensure there is parking available for everyone to frequent those businesses is a top priority. Erin wants to work with the businesses to ensure they are heard, and that any issues that arise are worked out to benefit the town and the business owner,
Erin understands the risks our Chesterton firefighters take every time that alarm goes off. Making sure they have the equipment they need, and are being compensated at a fair wage is important. Pride and dedication are on the patch for what they give to our town, the very least we can give back is what they need. If that means we need to

Pride and dedication are on the patch for what they give to our town, the very least we can give back is what they need. If that means we need to start looking at the future of the CFD and what that looks like, then that is what we need to do.

Erin has been a part of this community for many years, working tirelessly to make it a better place. Erin supports a strong public school system that values our teachers and support staff. Making sure we offer competitive salaries, and allowing our teachers to be inclusive and support their students is of high importance. Erin stands up for what she believes is right. If a teacher displaying a rainbow can lead to a child feeling comfortable to confide in them....they should be allowed. Making sure we keep public funds in public educations is a MUST!

Erin has the utmost respect for our law enforcement officers. She knows they are who protect and serve our beautiful town. They are fighting against an epidemic of opiod addiction. Erin has been personally affected by this disease and understands the fight they take on daily. This is why she spoke up at the ARPA council meeting for more services to be made available for those suffering with addiction. She wants to make the resources that are currently available more known to those who need it. She also wants to make sure our men and women in blue have the resources they need to keep them safe and get them back home every night.
Erin wants to encourage other community minded people to come and live in Chesterton. Enticing teachers and other public servants to buy their homes in Chesterton is also important to our community. Erin wants to encourage other community minded people to come and live in Chesterton. Enticing teachers and other public servants to buy their homes in Chesterton is also important to our community. Making sure that we have affordable housing in our beautiful town is what makes that happen. When Erin, and her husband Tommy bought their first home, they knew it had to be in Chesterton. Erin wants to make that dream a reality for others who want to become invested in our community.
Erin has been standing up for womens rights since she has been able to walk. She went to Indianapolis when SB1 was being discussed and she marched the capitol. She supports the right of women to have bodily autonomy.
Erin is the daughter of a retired Steelworker from local 12775, and the wife of a union Sheet Metal Worker out of local 20. She attended her first march for solidarity when she was 12 years old with her dad. She supports all workers and wants to make sure they are compensated with a fair wage, and benefits. While supporting small businesses in our community is important to have a thriving town, supporting local unions is also incredibly important to our town. Unions and their workers are the backbone of our community. Supporting them, is supporting our community.

Erin ran to be a state delegate, and was elected. She has learned how the democratic process works, and is a representative her community. She helped to start the Duneland Democratic Committee and serves as Vice Chair currently. Her goals are to teach others what she has learned, and garner more community involvement.
Erin can't win this race without your help. Sending letters, word-of-mouth, volunteering, and donating are all ways of helping her achieve our goals together. Erin is committed to transparency, and visibility. Volunteering your time to help to make those goals a reality, is so appreciated!
